Fromย May 2nd 2025, the U.S. significantly expanded tariffs on Chinese-origin goods, regardless of where they are shipped from โ including the UK ๐ฌ๐ง.ย These changes include new reciprocal tariffs, Section 301 duties, and measures under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).
Products of Chinese origin may have faced tariffs of up to:
- 125%ย reciprocal tariff
- 25%ย Section 301 duty
- 20%ย IEEPA-based tariff
โ Total potential:ย up to 170%
Additionally, the $800 USD de minimis exemption was removed for Chinese-origin goods, meaning all shipments, regardless of value, could be taxed.

MAYย 12TH, 2025 - REDUCED 30% TARIFF ON CHINESEย ๐จ๐ณย ORIGIN GOODS & DE MINIMIS REMOVAL
As ofย May 12th, 2025, the U.S. Government and China have agreed to aย 90 Day Pauseย in tariff escalation. This pause has temporarily lowered tariffs from approx 170% to 30% on Chinese origin goods.
Under this agreement:
- Tariffs on Chinese ๐จ๐ณ origin goods entering the U.S. were temporarily reduced to 30% from 170%.
- โ ๏ธ Thisย Pause is valid for 90 days and subject to renewal, reversal, or revision.
- The de minimis exemption remains suspended for Chinese-origin goods.
- The reduced rate still applies regardless of the shipping origin, so even UK ๐ฌ๐ง shipments containing Chinese ๐จ๐ณย made goods are affected.
โ ๏ธ IMPORTANT SHIPPING NOTICE FOR CHINESE ๐จ๐ณ ORIGIN GOODS
If your order contains products of Chinese originย mentioned above (e.g. printable vinyls, lamination films, magnets and other stickiply supplies),ย please select the UPS Shipping option at checkout.ย
As ofย 2ndย May 2025, the U.S. has imposed:
- Aย $100 flat fee per packageย onย Chinese๐จ๐ณย origin goods shipped via International mail (e.g. International Standard/Tracked which are passed to USPS).
- This increases to $200 per package fromย June 1st, 2025.
โก๏ธย UPS and other commercial couriers are not subject to the same flat postal fee, and customs clearance is much faster and more predictable. They are however still subject to the 10-30% tariffs.ย To avoid unnecessary fees, delays, or returns, we strongly recommend using UPS for all supply-related orders.

Following the United Kingdom's departure from the EU, customers in EU member states may be subject to VAT, import duties, and handling charges.
- Orders under โฌ150: Thanks to our integration with theย EUย Import One Stop Shop (IOSS), VAT is collected at checkout, minimising customs delays. However, small customs processing or brokerage fees may still apply.
