Because there is no air release liner, always use a squeegee and work the decal down gradually. For larger areas or awkward curves, try a wet application: spray the surface with water mixed with a small amount of washing up liquid, position the decal, then squeegee the liquid out. The adhesive becomes sticky again once the water dissipates. We applied matte lamination film to our own windows over a large surface area using this method and got no bubbles.

My laminate sheet looks hazy or cloudy after I apply it with a squeegee or a pouch laminator, and it only turns properly clear where rollers have pressed over it. How do I get the laminate to adhere properly? That is almost always a pressure problem rather than a fault with the laminate. T...

That is almost always a pressure problem rather than a fault with the laminate. These are pressure sensitive films, so the adhesive only activates fully and goes clear when enough pressure is applied evenly across the whole sheet. If the cloudiness disappears where you press firmly, or where a machine's rollers have passed over, that confirms it simply needs more pressure. In order of effectiveness: a basic pouch laminator is the least effective, because those machines are designed for thermal laminating and do not apply enough pressure to bond any cold laminate. A squeegee with a microfibre cloth wrapped around it is a noticeable improvement, as the cloth prevents scratches while letting you press much harder. If you have a Siser Juliet you can reduce the roller pressure by removing one spring from each roller and repositioning the remaining springs diagonally, which lets a laminated sheet pass through while applying far more even pressure than a handheld squeegee, and it also helps with the stickiness of mats. It is fiddly, but we did it to all three of our own machines. The best long term solution is a manual cold roller laminator, which is built for pressure sensitive laminate and applies consistent pressure across the entire sheet for the most repeatable results. Our PRO UV matte lamination film does show some cloudiness in general until it is properly pressed down.

🇺🇸 United States: 7-14 Days

Import Duties, Taxes & Tariffs

🇺🇸 United States

All U.S. orders ship with Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) services. Import duties and tariffs are calculated and included at checkout, so you should not receive additional customs charges on delivery. State sales tax may still apply where required.

🇪🇺 European Union

Orders under €150 use the IOSS scheme, with VAT collected at checkout to minimise customs delays. Small customs processing or brokerage fees may still apply.

Orders over €150 ship DDP, with VAT and customs duties collected at checkout.

From 1 July 2026, a temporary €3 EU customs duty may apply to qualifying low-value parcels under the EU threshold. This is separate from VAT.

We currently cannot ship to Austria due to local packaging regulations.

EU Business Orders and VAT Reclaim

All website orders to the EU are treated as B2C transactions, so EU VAT cannot be reclaimed through our checkout regardless of your VAT status or order value.

If you are a VAT-registered business in the EU and want to reclaim tax, place your order through our Faire integration, which ships DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid). VAT becomes payable and reclaimable on import with valid VAT and EORI numbers, or marked as Reverse Charge where applicable. Order via stickiply.faire.com.

🇬🇧 Northern Ireland

Parcels from Great Britain to Northern Ireland include customs data we provide. Personal consumer orders are not normally subject to import duties, though occasional customs checks or carrier processing delays may occur.

🇨🇦 Canada

Sent DAP. Import taxes are not collected at checkout. Canada charges tax on anything over CAD $20, so most orders are assessed. Expect GST or HST at your provincial rate, 5% to 15%, plus a clearance fee. Canada Post charges a flat CAD $9.95 per dutiable item; courier brokerage is usually higher.

Customs duty itself is normally nil on what we sell, so the amount you are asked for is generally tax plus the fee, not duty.

🇦🇺 Australia and 🇳🇿 New Zealand

Sent DAP. Import taxes and duties are not collected at checkout, and in the ordinary course there is nothing to pay on delivery. Both countries only charge above A$1,000 and NZ$1,000, and our orders normally fall well below that. UK-made goods are duty-free besides.

🌍 Other International Destinations

For countries outside the regions above, VAT, import duties, brokerage fees, and handling charges are set by your local customs authority and are not included at checkout. These are payable by you on delivery.

If you want a DDP quote with taxes and duties pre-paid for your country, contact us at hello@stickiply.com before placing your order.

📌 Important Reminder

Import regulations, VAT thresholds, and tariff rates can change at any time. Check your local customs authority website for the most up-to-date information before ordering. See our full shipping policy below for more detail.
