3D Print Files | Licence & Terms of Use
Buying a Stickiply 3D print file buys a licence to use it. The design, the file and every edit of it stay the property of Stickiply Ltd. Each file is sold with one of three licences. All three are per file, lifetime, with no expiry, for one person or one business. Every licence is numbered: you receive a licence certificate with your name, licence number, file and tier, and that certificate plus your order number is your proof of licence.
Personal licence
- For individuals and sole traders.
- Print as many as you like for yourself, your household and as gifts.
- Sell up to 250 finished, decorated pieces made from this file a year. Need more? Buy the Commercial licence.
- Do not sell undecorated blanks or bulk lots.
Commercial licence
- For any business, limited company or other.
- Sell finished, decorated pieces made from this file, with no cap.
- Do not sell undecorated blanks or bulk lots to other businesses: that needs the Wholesale licence.
Wholesale licence
- For anyone who wants to sell the blanks themselves.
- Everything in the Commercial licence, plus: sell undecorated blanks and bulk lots, with no cap.
Edits, remixes and our property
- You may edit the file for your own prints: resize it, add a hole, a loop or a keyring ear, change the pages or the spine. An edited file is still our design, covered by the same licence, and nothing more.
- An edit does not make it your design. Do not claim, register, copyright, patent or trademark the book, an edited book, or any part of it as yours.
- Do not share, upload, sell, give away or swap an edited file either, anywhere: not on Thingiverse, Printables, MakerWorld, Cults, Thangs, Etsy, a Discord, a Patreon, or privately.
- Do not use our file, or an edit of it, to make a product that is sold as a blank for others to decorate, unless you hold the Wholesale licence.
- Do not use our file or edits of it to train, seed or generate other 3D models for sale.
- Our rights: the design is protected by copyright and UK and EU design right. We will ask any marketplace to remove unlicensed copies, remixes and uploads, and we will pursue our losses.
All three licences
- Print them yourself, or have them printed for you. Never include the file with the pieces you sell.
- Use your own photos and your own words. Do not use the Stickiply name, logo or images, except to say "design by Stickiply" if you want to.
- Etsy does not allow it. Etsy's Creativity Standards (updated June 2025) only allow 3D prints of the seller's own design, so pieces made from our files cannot be sold on Etsy. Check Etsy's current rules before you list anywhere.
- You are the maker. You are responsible for the safety of what you sell, including any magnet you fit, and for the product-safety and labelling rules where you sell.
- Digital file, delivered by download link after payment. No refunds once the file has been downloaded. By ordering you ask us to deliver straight away and accept that you lose the 14-day cancellation right (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).
- Sold as is. Your printer, settings, materials and results are your own responsibility.
- Not sold to customers in the EU.
- Breaking these terms ends the licence, and we may claim our losses.
- Governed by the law of England and Wales.
