To make sure your design fits our bookmark sizes and cut lines, please create your artwork using our free Bookmark Creator. Upload your artwork, choose your orientation and shape, position your design, and preview how your finished bookmark and backing card will look.
When you are happy with your design, download your ZIP folder, which contains your print-ready artwork and your cut files. Upload the whole ZIP folder with your order so we can produce the most accurate representation of your design, cut exactly to the shape you previewed.
The Bookmark Creator is free to use, works in your browser, and requires no software or sign-up.

How to Apply Magnets to Your Magnetic Bookmarks 🧲
Assembling your own DIY magnetic bookmarks? There’s a simple technique to applying self-adhesive magnets that makes all the difference. Our round magnets have a north and south pole, and they will only connect with full strength when a north pole and a south pole are touching. Here are the two methods we use in our own studio to ensure a strong, secure hold every time:
Method 1: The Twist & Snap 🌀
- 1️⃣ Pick up two magnets and place the first on top of the second
- 2️⃣ Slowly twist the top magnet until you feel the pair snap together or pull against you
- 3️⃣ Don’t worry if they don’t sit perfectly flush. Magnets usually settle in a ‘Z’ formation at their strongest hold
- 4️⃣ Place the snapped-together stack onto one side of your bookmark, then close the other side onto it
Method 2: The Sheet Stack 📄
- 1️⃣ Take two full sheets of magnets and place one directly on top of the other
- 2️⃣ If the sheets don’t snap together, rotate one sheet and try again, remembering they only connect north to south
- 3️⃣ Peel back the top white layer to reveal stacks of magnets already snapped into place
- 4️⃣ Apply each stack to one side of your bookmark, closing the other side onto the stack at its strongest hold

Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Magnetic Bookmarks
Q: How many designs can I upload per package?
A: You may upload only one design per package. Discounts per bookmark are rewarded to those ordering higher quantities of the same design.
Q: Do I need design software to create my bookmark?
A: No. Use our free Bookmark Creator ✨ to design your magnetic bookmark and backing card in your browser. Download the ZIP folder it creates, including your artwork and cut files, and upload it with your order for the most accurate representation of your design.
Q: What is the line in the centre fold of the custom magnetic bookmark for?
A: We make all of our bookmarks by hand, so this line is printed as a visual guide for where to score your bookmark. You can ask us to make it any colour you wish, themed, or slightly faded.
Q: I’m not a designer. Can I just send you my artwork to put together for me?
A: We no longer offer a design service, so all artwork needs to be prepared using our Bookmark Creator ✨ or our templates. The Bookmark Creator was built exactly for this, with no design experience needed. If you get stuck using it, get in touch and we will happily help you through it.
Q: My DIY magnets don’t feel very strong. Am I doing something wrong?
A: Most likely the poles just aren’t aligned. Our magnets only hold at full strength when north and south poles are touching. See our How to Apply Magnets guide above and the video tutorial on our Instagram for the technique we use in our studio.
Q: Is it possible to have no white border around my bookmark?
A: Yes. We can cut slightly inside your bookmark to create bleed and make borderless bookmarks if needed. Simply ensure your bookmark has enough room for us to cut inside, or that it is all one colour around the edge for us to add bleed.
Q: Is it possible to have a die-cut shaped backing card too?
A: Yes. We are happy to cut your backing cards into a custom shape if needed, like the jar example in our image gallery. Simply ensure your shape fits inside our backing card template.

Disclaimer: When making custom magnetic bookmarks we twist or rotate two magnets facing together to find the strongest area of support. This means magnets may not always align perfectly. In fact, 80% of the time magnets prefer to align in a Z formation.
All of our custom magnetic bookmarks are made by hand, so please allow for minor imperfections like lint or trimming variances.
