Can I cut magnetic sheets with a cutting machine?
Yes. Cricut, Silhouette and Siser Juliet will all cut our 0.5mm magnetic sheets.
A few things to get right:
Use a 60 degree blade or a deep cut blade. The standard fine-point blade will struggle.
Increase pressure to the highest setting for your machine.
Run two or three passes rather than one. Magnetic material is thicker than vinyl and needs the repeated cut.
Scissors and a craft knife also work well for straight lines and simple shapes.
